Our philosophy of service and commitment to quality
All of our resources are dedicated to serving you and the needs of your family.
We are committed to the community where we are located, and we know the local
customs, traditions and preferences.
Our Licensed Washington Funeral Directors, including John & Sally Lynn, personally
handle all arrangements.
At your convenience
Funeral services are held when and where you want them, including evenings and
Sundays, and can be held at home. We can make arrangements to hold services in non-traditional
locations that are of special significance to a family or individual.
We will come to your home to make arrangements at your convenience. Travel and
shipping arrangements can be made to or from virtually anywhere in the world. Some airlines
have special bereavement airfares for out of town family members.
Gatherings following a funeral can be accommodated, with catering at a private residence
or use of special rooms at restaurants..
Our facilities are comfortable and traditional. They are smoke-free and accessible to the
handicapped.
We can provide transportation to and from the funeral home wherever needed to make
arrangements.
For handicapped visitors or those needing special assistance, we can provide wheel chair
service from our family parking entrance.
Respect and privacy
We protect the dignity and privacy of each individual through extensive physical security
precautions that prevent unauthorized personnel from entering certain portions of the building.
Satisfaction
If we fail to provide any item to your satisfaction, you will not be charged for it. Our
philosophy is that if you are not happy with our services, we are not happy either.
Complete services or individual items
We are pleased to take complete responsibility for all aspects of a funeral service, from the moment the need arises anywhere in the world, to the ultimate disposition of remains anywhere in
the world.
Our selections of funeral goods and merchandise are also available for examination,
comparison, or purchase on an item by item basis.
We encourage families who deal with us to assure themselves that we are providing value in the tangible and intangible aspect of all we offer them.
Financing
Our standard policy is to request payment within 15 days of a funeral. In addition, for
your convenience, we accept VISA and MasterCard.
Business Hours
Our normal business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to handle other needs as they arise.
Complete Music Selection
We feature our Robert Morton Theatre Pipe Organ for our services. We also can play any of your favorite CD or tape music at services.
Live musical performances can also be arranged including Bagpipers.
Meaningful Memorials
A major purpose for a funeral is to provide a positive final memory of the life of an individual. The funeral can help with the psychological healing process for the living.
As funeral directors, we want to help you create the most meaningful ways of offering tribute to the life of a loved one.
This may involve selection a non-traditional location for a service, special displays representing personal or professional achievements, hobbies, unique interests or talents.
Continuing Care
Our service doesn't end with the funeral. We provide information on local support groups which can help families and survivors better understand and cope with feelings of grief and loss.
We also offer practical suggestions about how to check on records, legal matters, benefits and transfers of records.
Pre-need Planning
Expressing personal preferences about what type of funeral service and related items you want is a good idea. It saves others you care about from guessing about what you want, and
making decisions at a difficult time.
We will visit you, if you prefer, so that pre-need planning can be done in the quiet and privacy of your own home in a relaxed atmosphere.
Pre-need planning frequently means choosing a pre-payment plan, and we offer several to meet virtually any situation.
Pre-need arrangements can be made with limited money down and monthly payment plans
to suit a wide variety of financial circumstances.
We can help you select the most appropriate means of funding for your plan through
Purple Cross insurance.
Benefits Specialists
Military, Social Security, railroad, company and government benefit programs that can be
used towards funeral expenses are all areas we know well and can help you use.
Attention to Detail
From the distribution of correct information to local or national newspapers, certified
copies of required documents, and other details, we pay utmost attention to them all.
Complete Price Information
Complete price lists of all services and merchandise are provided to every family. Every detail is available for review.
Caskets, urns for cremated remains, burial vaults and other items in many price ranges are available, and most are stocked at the funeral home for you to see and examine personally.
Custom merchandise is also available, and complete catalogs are kept on hand.
Reception Availability
To families using our services, we make available, for a modest charge, our Fireside Room for receptions following the services or gatherings and visitations.
Speakers Bureau
Representatives of our funeral home are available to meet with community groups to
explain any aspects of today's funeral services, from pre-need planning to cremation, to creative
memorialization services and other related issues.
For groups up to 25, informational presentations can be arranged at our location.
Complete Compliance
Our funeral home complies with all regulations established by the State of Washington to protect public health and safety and the consumers rights of families we serve.
We are also in full compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Funeral Rule.
Home Security
As a security measure, we recommend that arrangements be made to have a trusted individual stay at the home of the deceased during times of services that have been announced in
newspaper advertisements.
We also suggest that family members from the area, who have been listed in obituaries, make similar arrangements.
If needed, we can make arrangements with private security services to provide such
coverage.
